Nevada Rev. Stat. § 432B.220 sets forth a list of professionals required to report suspected child abuse and neglect (including sexual abuse) to authorities. The list includes medical and mental health care providers, coroners, school administrators and teachers, day care and camp workers, members of the clergy and other religious officials, persons licensed to conduct foster homes, law enforcement officers, attorneys, and adults who are employed by entities that provide organized activities for children (such as sports).
In addition, any other person may report suspected abuse or neglect.
Reports must be made within 24 hours. Failure to report is a misdemeanor.
Nevada Rev. Stat. §§ 432B.100; 432B.110 provide that ‘sexual abuse’ includes acts upon a child constituting:
