Montana Teacher Sentenced for Child Pornography

scottnicholsScott Nichols, 42, formerly a teacher at West High School in Billings MT, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release, KBZK news reported. On June 3, 2015, Nichols agrees to pleas guilty to two counts of coercion and enticement of a child, two counts of attempted coercion and enticement, and one count of distributin child pornography. Three female victims aged 13 to 15 were named in the August 2014 indictment filed in Montana’s U.S. District Court. According to the plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to drop 18 other charges in exchange for the guilty plea. Judge Susan Watters ordered Nichols to enter sex offender treatment while in prison, as well as substance abuse treatment.
