    Marshall Neal, a 33-year-old history teacher at Garces High School in Bakersfield, was arrested in December 2007 amid accusations that he engaged in a sexual act with a 17-year-old student. In late January 2008, Neal pled no contest to one count of oral copulation with a minor under the age of 18.
