Steven Deschler, 64, was arrested July 2, 2015 at Oakland International Airport on suspicion for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female who recently graduated. The student’s mother contacted police after finding evidence of a sexual relationship between the two on her daughter’s phone. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office said that the investigation determined the student and Deschler had known each other for about four years and their sexual relationship began in April of 2015. Deschler was arrested as he departed a plane from a return flight from Hawaii, on suspicion of oral copulation with a minor, sexual penetration of a minor, communicating with a minor with intent to commit a specified sex offense and arranging a meeting and then meeting with a minor for the purpose of engaging in lewd and lascivious conduct. Amy Lee Kelly, 41, a teacher at Bacich Elemetary School in the Kentfield School District, and divorced mother of two, was arrested in August 2007 for having sex with two 15-year-old boys. Kelly was visiting a friend in Corte Madera on October 20, 2006, when she reportedly got so intoxicated that her friend took away her car keys. That evening two 15-year-old boys stopped by the home to visit the daughter of Kelly’s friend. At some point during the visit, the daughter noticed one of the boys was missing and went upstairs and witnessed the boy and Kelly engaging in sexual activity on her bed. Upset by the image, the daughter went back downstairs. Later that night, she noticed the other boy was missing and went upstairs and saw the second teen having sex with Kelly. The girl took photographs of Kelly and the victim while naked and engaging in a sexual act. The next morning, Kelly told the Corte Madera woman what happened, and the woman confirmed the story after confronting the boys at a Redwood High School Football game.
