Laura Nicole Lasek, 26, of Yuba City, was arrested in February 2015 and accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenage student for two months. In December 2014, a para-educator at the school overheard some students gossiping about Lasek sending the alleged victim sexually graphic messages on Facebook. The worker told school officials, who confronted Lasek and contacted police. Lasek was then placed on administrative leave. The victim, a 15-year-old boy, confirmed the relationship to police.
