Sacramento Teacher Arrested for Molesting 14-Year-Old Student

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA — Mysti Moriah Lingenfelter, 35, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student during the 2011-2012 school year, the Sacramento Bee reported.  The victim was one of Lingenfelter’s students at Foothill Ranch Middle School. Lingenfelter has been on paid administrative leave since May, after Twin Rivers Unified School District learned of the investigations. Lingenfelter was a teacher for the district since 2005. She turned herself in Tuesday on a warrant and was charged with five felony counts. She was released from jail after posting bail. Arraignment is scheduled for next Tuesday.
