Lawyers For Survivors Of Former Eighth-grade Teacher At Mission Middle School In Escondido Josh French

In 2016, the Escondido Union School District moved to fire Josh French after officials concluded that French engaged in “unwelcome leering,” “graphic verbal comments,” “touching … in a sexual way,” “impeding or blocking movements” and “sexual assault, sexual battery or sexual coercion”, with female students. Escondido Union officials took into account dozens of interviews to arrive at this decision.

French voluntarily resigned in August of 2016, more than a year after the investigation into his alleged misconduct started. The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing revoked Josh French’s teaching credential the following year. Criminal charges have not been brought against Josh French.
