Carrie Smith Perkins 31, a teacher at Parkview Christian High School, was arrested in May 2010 and charged in Houston County for transporting a teen to Dothan and having sex in a hotel room during the time that she was a 5th grade teacher at Parkview Christian School. Additionally, Perkins pleaded guilty to having sex with the same boy in Barbour County and was ordered to serve three years in prison. At sentencing in 2011, Circuit Judge Butch Binford ordered the prison terms be served consecutively. That means one sentence must be completed before the other one begins.
