    Carrie Miller, 24, a Spanish teacher at Johnson County Central High School, was arrested in January 2014 on suspicion of sexual assault of a 15-year-old male student and enticement by electronic communication. She struck a plea deal in May 2015, and on July 1, 2015, she was sentenced to four to five years on two counts of felony child abuse and one misdemeanor count of child abuse in Nemaha county, and one felony and one misdemeanor count of child abuse in Johnson County. The Journal Star reported that the victim told authorities he and Miller shared explicit photos of each other and began having sexual contact in October 2013, mostly while parked at an abandoned farmstead in Nemaha County, but at least once in Johnson County.
